Bogata and surrounding area was
treated to an excellent performance
of gospel music at the "Harmony
Under the Stars" progam held at Riv-
ercrest High School Saturday, Oct. 7,
2000. Tim Wood was very profes-
sional in directing seventy-two sing-
ers and people that accompanied them
on instruments. A great responsibil-
ity was placed on Judy Sherrill to
accompany the choir with such a large
variety of gospel hymns. Special
thanks is extended to all the people
working behind the scenes either in
sound or filming. The Wood family
requested singers from Bogata and
the surrounding area and they re-
sponded in mass.
The large crowd in attendance and
the monetary gifts were greatly ap-
preciated. This benefit will enable
the Bogata Library/Museum to pur-
chase some much needed items.
The Bogata area is fortunate to
have the Wood family and all the
people who helped to make this event
so successful.
