The regular council meeting of the
Bogata City Council, scheduled for

quorum and will be held Monday.

Cody Lane Murphy, son of

and Mike and Paula Murphy of
Bag well. Cody was honored with
a party which carried an Elmo
theme at his home in Bagwell.
Twenty-five guest attended and
enjoyed seeing Cody eat his first
birthday cake. Cody received
many nice and useful gifts. He is
pictured with his grandpa,
James Eilers.

Bogata Lions Club sponsors Bingo
at Red River Healthcare Center. Li-
ons Club members should volunteer
to help when they can.

Free co m m od i t ies are distributed
on the 3rd Tuesday of each month
from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the
First Baptist Church in Bogata.
Tuesdays
BAM! (Bogata Area Moms) play
group for stay-at-home moms and
children will meet weekly beginning
in September. All interested should
call Kelly at 632-4493.
Bogata Public Library/Museum
The Bogata Public Library/Museum
is open eacb Friday from 10 am to 4
pm and each Saturday from 10 am to
2 pm. A library card is available to all
citizens of Bogata and the surround-
ing area. Come by and enjoy the
Museum and check out a good book
for your reading pleasure.
Bogata Parade of Homes
The Bogata Missionary Baptist
Church will host the "Parade of
Homes" during the 2000 holiday sea-
son. The event is set for Dec. 7,2000.
Watch your local paper for more de-
tails as time nears.

A new Weigh-Down Workshop
Session will be held at the Bogata
First Methodist Church Thursday,
^October 12 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

A drawing will be held for an
afghan amd a quilt to be given away
at the Harvest Dinner to be held at
East Texas Medical Center in Clarks-
ville. The hospital's auxiliary is sell-
ing tickets for the drawing at $1.00
per ticket. The proceeds from the
ticket sales will be used for the Odessa
Parnell Nurse's Scholarships which
ajre presented annually.
