conscientjous men, who each and
every onej desired to do what he
believed liis obligations as a juror
required. | There was not one of
them bujt {believed that Miss Fan-
nie did | jjqst what she ought to
have dop|, but tep of them did
riot beli«h|e that she was author-
le law to do so. Hence,
with all of their sympathy and
feeling ^ojr her, they believed it
their duly to find a'verdict giving
her the ligntes't penaltyr fixed by
law for manslaughter. There
was not o ie of them but would
have asked the governor to grant, held
her an imMediate pardon had she
been conyieted. The people of
Bonham and the county are well
pieased ■ with the result of the
trial.
