"COLUMBUS" IS SHOWN LAST
SATURDAY
The educational picttiro "Colum-
bus" was shown to thu students last
.Saturday evening nt seven o'clock.
The four reels showed tho trlnls
and troubles of thu "mud Italian"
his long wult to Ruin recognition
from the kings und his final triumph
Action wus slow during the first reel;
that is it was slow to some of the
masculine portion of the uudience bu-
cuuso the women in the picture were
conspicuous by their ubsence.
A good crowd wus present ut this
first picture of tho yenr most of tho
auditorium and the balcony being
well filled und if jho slzu of the
crowd meuns anything ihuro will bu

This Interesting portrayal of tho
life of Columbus proved to thu stu-

so much history uh thoy thought thoy
did; hence they were well entertained
by it.
