was made to District Attorney Lips-
comb in Bonham on June 30, and as

“I, Buck Thomas, being under ar-
rest upon the charge of-burglary of
private residence at night and bur-
glary and assault to murder Austin
Bishop, and being duly warned by R.
T. Lipscomb:
. "First, That I do not have to make
any statement at all ,and,
“Second, That any statement I
may make may De used in evidence
against me upon my trial for said of-
fenses and such of said offenses and
concerning the offenses about which
this statement is made .make the- fol-
lowing statement to R. T. Lipscomb:
‘My name is Buck Thomas, and I
am 19 years of age and will be 20
on the 18th day of August, 1916.
