were asked to assume the main-
tenance several years ago but
dropped the proposal after u
petition wa* received from the
landowners in the llrady area
who have dams on their proper-
ty. The landowners opposed
County maintenance for fear
that the dams might become
“public property" open to
hunters and fishermen without
consent of the landowner.
