The Bible Teaches
The church is not a denom-
ination. In a religious world
where the word “church’’ has
Income synonymous with the
word “denomination," it is dif-
ficult to get men to see that
they can he just Christians
without becoming a part of
any human party or denomina-
tion. It is just as feasible as it
is to become an American citi-
ten without joining any politi-
cal party. There were no sects
or religious parties or denom-
inations in the church founded
by Jesus Christ on the day of
Pentecost (Acts 2). The sin of
division is condemned by the
Scriptures. (John 17; Matt.
15.9.)
