The rain did not serve Mi«

She had just returned from
W’aubansee late in tin rvenint
Friday and had put her car
in the garage Hurrying to get
in the house out of the misty
rain, she slipped and fell on
the sidewalk, breaking hi t left

Mr and Mrs Irvin Marshall
received an interesting letter
recently from their son, Dr.
Billy Jack Marshall, who is a
missionary doctor in l-a Paz.
Bolivia
In part he said he had en-
I joyed a few hour* from the
hospital the day before by get-
ting an operation behind him
by 8 a. m. He accompanied
some American friends there
with the agriculture program
that Four Point runs for Bo-
livia. They went to the experi-
ment station at Belen.
From I,a Paz to Belen was
:i two-hour drive in a jeep. He
said he Damped around all
morning with the Indians, who
Hie experimenting with differ

killer on the seed potatoes and
•otne had not been treated. He
mid vetch seemed to do well
there, and barley is their best
grain. He said "unfortunately
most of the barley is used up
'iv the local brewery."
On their trip, too, they saw
how the natives were trying
to improve their breed of
sheep, and also their llama,
alpaca and vicuna animals
which are natives of the Andes
Mountains. The llama is still
used a little as pack animals,
ii aie the alpaca. The alpaca
I induces a good mohair-type

fine hair that is a beautiful
light brown color.
After a barbecue dinner, they
drove hack to La Paz by 5 p.
m. and in time for him to de-
liver another hahy.
He said he really enjoyed
getting away from the hospital
for a few hours—back to the
farnt although he got a “nice
i sunburn.”

By the way—I have been
I agging about our Heart of
Texas. Maybe I am not the
only one who appreciates it.
(ieorge Purcell, our Cham-

said that he had rather he born
in Brady an “orphan than twins
