Polyethylene Pipe
Recommended For
Farmers, Ranchers
Farm and iNin-h owner* who
are fared with th* problem of
water conservation and tbe
need for a more economical
method of supplying water to
livestock, may find their best
answer in a new coil-type high
d*n*lty polyethylene pipe whi h
haa been tecently field and lab
oratory tested and approvad by
the National Sanitation Four
dation, aecording to A. J
Hiumhaugh, agricultural mar-
keting authority of the South
western Plastic Pipe Company
of Mineial Well*.
‘‘Polyethylene not only ha<
become one of the most reliable
types of water *ystem piping
available, hut hirh density poly
ethylene meet* the United
Ktate* Department of Agri.-ul-
ture requirement* for Practice
H H plastic piping," Brumbaugh
stated "This is a very import
ant factor. It is a comparative
ly new type of polyethylene,
which is made of first qual-
ity basic ingredient*. NSK ap-
proved polyethylene pipe can
i>e safely used for drinking
water systems, not only in
stock watering lines, but it is
equally suitable for domestic
system* serving the farm and
ram h home.”
It wa* also pointed out that
one of the principal advantages
of using this type of plastic
pipe for fuim and ranch water
ing systems ia the fact it has a
hiyh tensile strength, and gen-
erally will withstand even the
lowsiat temperatures. It i* re-
sistant to minerals and a<uds,
which sometimes deteriorate
metal piping This mean* it will
not ru*t or corrode, Brumbaugh
said.
"There are a number of
other types of plastic pipe on
the market today, but for a
good low-coat watering system,
high density NSF-Approved
polyethylene pipe will prove to
be a sound investment for any
farm or ranch owner,” the
Southwestern Elastic Pip* of-
ficial concluded.
A packet of applications bul-
letin* and descriptive informa-
tion on how to select and in-
stall plastic piping for farm
and home water systems is
offered, without charge, by the
company Prt.mhai.gh said Ad | Tvp,*H1,r J|nd

guests uf their son Tony, who
is u senior student at the Uni-
versiy of Texas. Saturday the
Duttons attended the Texas Re-
lays at Manorial Stadium.
Lon Iax-klear, Vox-a rancher,
said here Saturday he got 1.70
inch of rain at his ranch last
Thursday and Friday. The
rains didn't put out any stuck
water but Mr. Locklear said he
had good water wells on his
ranch and didn't depend on
dirt tanks. However, he would
like to see heavy rains in this
section of the country which
would help the old boys that
'lo depend on tanks, creeks and
river for st.sk water.
