that the 100th nation had bean ad-
mitted within the past few days.

Tommie Turner as chairman, told
of plans to help in tha fnlted
Friends drive in McCulloch Coun-
ty.

led by Carl Lundquist of Malvin,
and consisted of a duet by Mrs.

Fleming; a talk by Rev. Bertll
Thorn from Georgetown: n duet
In Swedish by Mrs. Paul Hanaon
and Paul Bowman. The program
waa closed in prayer by Dr. J. D.
McBee.
Mr. Carlson was presented with
many lovely gifts for which he
extended thanks.
The refreshment table was lacs
laid and centered with an arrange-
ment of bronte mums. A besuti
ful birthday cake, with sand-
wiches, Swedish sprits cookies,
punch and coffee, was served to
about fifty guests.

The Brady High School PTA
finance committee this week
started circulating ite "dessert
basket,” the PTA’s fund-raising
project this year.
The "dessert basket” will help
finance two worthy PTA programs
this year:
1— An Information clinic for
high school atndenta.
2— Providing tickets for the
high school faculty and adminis-
trators to attend the Lions Club's
Honor Banquet.
"8o when your neighbor brings
you the dessert basket, please ac-
cept It." the finance committee

making a contribution and pass-
ing the basket on to the next
name on the Hat."
