VFW bestows lifetime membership
Bataan Death March survivor
Staff Sergeant Antonio M.
Jimenez, U.S. Army Retired,
was awarded a life mem-
bership in the Dudley Ives
VFW Post 6386, Ingleside, in
ceremonies Tuesday, March 9.
The life membership was
given in recognition of service
to his country and the many
medals bestowed on Jimenez,
who resides in Ingleside with
his family.
Jimenez was assigned to B
Company, 68th Anti-Aircraft
Artillery in 1941 under the
command of General Douglas
McArthur. The military forces
on Corregidor were taken pris-
oner of war by the Japanese in
May 1942. Liberation came in
September 1945. Jimenez is a
survivor of the Bataan Death
March.
Jimenez later served in the
Korean Conflict.

will lead a “paint along” or paint
what you wish, beginning at 10
a.m.
On Wednesdays, Billie Fair-
bairn will lead the session.
