Mew Age Opens New Doors.”
With the singing “Oh For a
Thousand Tongues” and the
closing prayer offered by Mrs.
Erble Sale, the meeting was
adjourned.
The hostesses were Mrs. Jay
Hopser and Miss Elizabeth Lat-
imer, assisted by her sister,
Miss Teresa Latimer, who ser-
ved a most delicious refresh-
ment plate to the following

Demel of NeedvlUe, Texas announce the engagement and
approaching marriage of their daughter, Sandra, to Kelly
Mac Ward. Both Sandra and Kelly are students at the Uni-
versity of Texas. He Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlon
Ward of Clarksville. The wedding will be December 27 at
st. Michael’s Catholic Church In Needvllle.

Tuesday, September 15, at 7:40
p.m. The meeting was called to
order by the president, Mrs.
Florence Rattan. Opening pra-
yer was given by Mrs. Fred
Fisher.
Mrs. Lindsey McAllister was
leader for a very Interesting
program, <<A New Age Opens
New Doors.” Assisting on the
program were Mrs. Rattan and
Mrs. Fisher, as well as com-
ment and contributions from
other members of the group.
* A delicious salad plate was
served to the following mem-
bers; Mesdames Tommie Tuc-
ker, Jack Edwgrds, Fred Fisher
Giles McCarver, Emma Mae
Watson, Lindsey McAllister,
Mrs. Rattan, Miss Louise Cock-
rell and the hostess, Mrs. Lowe.
Meeting then adjourned to

ACQUA1NTED NIGHT
The first P-TA meeting, get-
acqualnted night, was a success.
The meeting was called to
order by the P-TA president,
mrs. Buddy Parker. Gene Pra-
ter gave the Invocation and the
devotional was given by Robert
Stroud. Mrs. Phil Brooks In-
troduced the many Interesting
meetings to come. Mrs. Mickey
Russell read the minutes of the
last meeting of 1983-64. The in-
troductions of the staff and each
committee member and their
Jobs were given. The principal
of Elementary, Mrs. Lucille
Kunkel, and the principal of
Junior High, Bob Bone, were
recognized and asked to say a
few words. They Introduced
their teachers and the home
room mothers for each class.
Mrs. Marian Walters, the
membership committee chair-
man, came forward and announ-
ced that there were 156 mem-
bers to Join and over 200 pre-
sent. In Elementary, Mrs. Mit-
chell, first grade teacher, was
given a prize for having the
most parents In attendance for
her class. In Junior High Gene
Proctor, eighth grade teacher,
was also given s prize for hav-_
lng the most parents present."
The prlje was a party which
was given the following day.
After adjournment of the
meeting, parents visited their
children^ classrooms and then
returned to the auditorium tor
refreshments.
