Yestaiday Mrs. J. V. Chapman gave
u perfectly appointed luncheon for
Mb- Ann Ian Russell and her bridal
party, featuring the hlu« bird if table
decorations, the tirida’s chair and other
available places, The center of ihe
table held a mound of blue flowers
surrounded by wreath, if ivy. over
which fluttered mnumorcbl, blue birds
suspended from the electrolier. The
chosen flowers, the blue daisies and
11 lumbago, harmonised with the bright
I blue bird Crystal und sliver candle-
ticks encircled the mound of flowers,
shedding a soft, mellow light over this
entrancing setting.
Covers were laid for eight, the pluee
curds having hund-puinted blue bird*
I erched on each of them. Five delect-
able courses were served, and with the
last Miss Eloi.se Chupniun gave the
bride-to-be a handsome plate of blue
bird design, and ju.-t here the suspense
of this jolly party was relieved when i
each wus told to pull the riblions which |
leached from beneath the central dec-
orations to each place. Hidden he
neuth the flowers was a favor for
each guest, small heurt-shaped blue
bird bon lion dishes of suited nuts
having verses written on the covers,
the reading of which caused much
merriment;
I hope the fate
Of Annie Iao-
Will hurry up
And come to me!
— Bernice.
"Lucky girl,"
I’ve heard it said.
"Who thus escapes
Our fate -old maul!”
—Alberta.
If my prince wants
To greatly please.
He can come like this
For his Kloise.
"A man for each maid,”
Is the usual rule,
And I hope there’s one
Who’s waiting for Jule!
A heart for a heart ■
No more—no less—
May my King soon come
For his Good Queen Bess
I wish for you girls—
Every one of you,
A man us fine
As my own dear Hugh.
From Annie Lee,
The bride-to-be.
Girls, let me tell you.
While here wo tarry,
It’s a mighty fine thing
For us all to marry.
Mrs. Allen.
No sadder lot
Than an Adamlcss Eve
t on Id come to a maid.
We ill! believe.
Mrs. Duncan.
Perhaps no Bonhum bride has been
the recipient of more prenuptial fa-
vors than Miss Russell, thus proving
her groat popularity.

courtesy were Mis-- Russell. Mrs. \Y
C. Duncan, of Ada. Oklu., Mrs. F <’
