Fourteen members answered

my neighbor." They also told
how their neighbors had helped
them. Old and new business
was discussed and plans were
made to entertain a visiting
cltdb.
There was a short Mother’s
Day program. Gifts were ex-
changed. The hostesses served
cold drinks and cookies.

Mrs. Posey as co-hostess.

The Madras Community Im-
provement Club met Monday
night May 11, In the community
center with a buffet supper.

Misses Teresa Lawrson and
Sandra Glddens, this year’s high
school graduates, were honored
Saturday afternoon idth a
“Punch" party by Mrs. F. M
Mo rehead and her daughter,
Mrt. David Tate of Irving, at
the Morehead residence. *
Each honoree wore a corsage
made of spider mums decorated
with two girl graduate dolls.
-The table was decorated with
a center-piece of blue and white
mums around the figure of a girl
graduate. In addition to the cen-
ter - piece, other decorations
consisted of white kittens wear-
tng mortar-board caps, horn-
rimmed glasses, and a blue
ribbon around the neck bearing
the name of each of the hono-
rees. Refreshments consisted
of punch, delicious sandwiches,
toasted nuts, mints, and cup-
cakes. The cup-cakes were de-
corated wlthmlnature graduates
holding diplomas which turned
.out to be fortunes for earl
person.
. The maltj entertainment
a “hat making'' project. Each
guest; was given a hat pattern
along with several objects for
decoration. The Idea was to
make a hat to Illustrate what
each person thought she mlgbt
be <&lng next year. The hate
were modeled after they were
made.

gess, Mae Wolfe, Patsy
Hammer, Paula Sauls, Janelle
