Wichita Falls, Nov. 19.—Six army aeroplane*-, flying from
jlort Sill to Fort Sam Houston, completed the first leg of the
four hundred mile journey when they arrived here at 9 o’clock
this morning. They averaged 99 miles per hour and an average
altitude of 2,5011 feet was maintained. They all made perfect
landings, alighting two at a time in a row. Motor trucks and
motorcycles accompanying the planes arrived at noon. The fif-
teen aviators and their ninety helpers will he banqueted tonight.
They start for Bowie at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning.
