NEW FIRE ESCAPES mniiii™
ARE BEING PUT UP lnANRo*
KlSSKU. BUILDING TO BE PRO-
VIDED WITH WIDE HTAIRING
TO CHE IN EMERGENCY.
An up-to-date fire escape is being
installed on the Russell building on
the northeast corner of the square.
This is to conform with a recent fiat
sent forth by the Texas Legislature,
in which it was stated just how high
the steps should be, how wide they
should be, and every other item that
could be though of in the making of
a fire-escape that would suit the fas-
tidious tastes of the solons, the fire
insurance companies, and everybody
else that wanted in on the deal.
Perhaps the fire-escapes will never
be needed, but ufter all, if they are,
the Texas legislature will be thanked
for making such wide-guaged affairs
to escape us a brand from the burn-
ing.

WEAK AND TIHED WOMAN
Tells How Vinol Made tier Strong.
Bonham women who are weak, run-
down and suffer from the consequent
effects of such a condition, will be
interested in Mrs. Odell's letter.
She says:
“I am a farmer's wife and was all
| run-down, weak, tired, and suffered
j from indigestion, and sometimes it
j seemed as though I could not keep
around and do my housework. 1 had
] taken many medicines without benefit.
I One day I saw Vinol advertised, and
I made up my mind to try it. I have
j taken four bottles and have gained
seven pounds in weight, um much
stronger, and feel many years young-
| er than before." Sarah Odell, Lock-
I port, N. Y.
The reason Vinol builds up weak,
run-down women so quickly is lie-
cause it contains a delicious combin-
; ation of the three most successful
j tonics, peptonate of iron to enrich
and revitalize the blood, the strength-
creating, body-building elements of
fresh cods’ livers without oil, and beef
peptone.
We want to say to every weak,
run-down, over-worked woman in
Bonham that we will return your
' money if Vinol fails to help you us
| it did Mrs. Odell.—W. P. Claypool,
druggist, Bonham, Texas.

BROWN BLAKENEY WEDDING.
The wedding of Miss Isabelle M.
Brown and Mr. Thurman A. Blake-
ney, which took place in Durant at
the same time of the marriage of Miss
Leta Woody and Mr. M. T. Bronstad,
last Tuesduy afternoon, was the so-
ciety event of Durant for some time.
The church was beautifully decorat-
ed for the occasion, being the hand-
some new edifice recently completed
by the Presbyterians. An orchestra
played the nuptial musical offerings
and there were four ushers to precede
the two couples on their way to Hy-
men's altar. A little flower girl and
a little boy who acted as ring-bearer
were in advance of the contracting
ruised here, being a son of Mr.

The two couples were followed by a
numerous retinue of attendants, and
with the soft glow of electricity they
must huve made a most entrancing
picture as they marched down the
church aisles to the only music played
nowadays for such occasions—Lohen-
grin's wedding march.
