Dickie Grant, was honored by
Mrs. Blue Underwood with, a
miscellaneous shower at the
home of Mrs. Underwood Mon-
day evening, August IS.

Underwood were In charge of the
register. Miss Debbie Grant
strung the bows while Miss
Annette Aubrey made a list of
the gift*. The refreshment table
used the bride s chosen rotors
of emerald green and white.

Miss Lou Hutchison was
honored with a miscellaneous
shower at the Pine Grove Pres-
byterian Church oa Wednesday
evening. Aug. SI. Hostesses
were Mmes. Stewart Stapley,
Robert Lane Rice, Misses Jose-
phine Mitchell and Cindy Rice.
Mils Cindy Rice was In
charge of the register and also
helped Mies Debbie Grant wlm
the presentation of gifts. Cards
ware passed out and the guests
were asked to write down their
favorite recipes.
Delicious refreshments were
served to about 40 guests. The
honors* received many gifts
during the evening- _

Circle C of the Womans
Society at Christian Service at
the McKenzie Memorial Metho-
dist Church met on August 20 at
the home of Mrs. B. C Green.
The meeting was opened by
Mrs. Donald Fryar, Circle
chairman with sprayer. Minutes
were read and approved. Mrs.
Fryar exiled for reports from
committees. The circle was re-
minded to atteod the Sern lnar on
August 29 at the church. It was
announced that two study cours-
es will be offered to w S.C.S.
members. One course will be
given In October and one In
November.
The meeting was then turned
over to Mrs. E P. Black, pro-
gram leader. The subject of the
program was “Tha Crusade
Scholarship Procession Mrs.
Black gars Interesting and In-
formative facts on this subject.
Then Mrs. W. u Rhodes show-
ed impressive films of crusade
scholars and their activities.
