Wed 60 Years
Mr and Mrs. Van H. Morgan
of Detroit observed their 60th
wedding anniversary Monday,
December 21. They were
married In Detroit In 1904 by
the Rev. D. A. Dickey, pastor
of the Presbyterian Church.
They have lived there ever
since. r
Mr. Morgan has been In the
drug business 69 years. He was
born at Mt. Pleasant, Missis-
sippi, but came to Texas when
a child.
Mrs. Morgan Is the former
Miss Bennie Caldwell and Is a
native of Red River County.
They have one son, Richard
C. Morgan, Dallas; a grand son,
Richard C. Morgan n, Houston,
and two great grand daughters,
Shirley and Barbara.

where he Is a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity.
The marriage will be June 12, 1965 at the Catholic Church

CHRISTMAS MEETING
The annual Christmas meet-
ing of the Shakespeare Club
was held at the home of Mrs.
Paul Johnson. Christmas de-
corations were in evidence th-
roughout the home, the focal
point being the traditional
Christmas tree.
The Christmas story accord-
ing to St. Luke was read by
Mrs. J. R. Holloway, with back-
ground music played by Mrs.
Johnson. They then presented
a story ' "If He Had
Not Come,'* followed by each
member telling of the memories
of her merriest Christmas.
Following the exchange of
gifts, the hostess, assisted by
Mrs. F. M. Morehead served
a delicious refreshment plate
to the members present, Mrs
