Clarksville spotted the Reb-
els 4 jiolnts In the season's
first game but went on to take
an Impressive 96-57 win. The
mlxup came when both teams
lined up facing wrong baskets.
The officials missed the error
and-. Clarksville had made two
quick field goals In the Rebel
basket before Rebel Coach Wake
Wood caught the mistake. The
first four points went to the
Rebels.
The Tigers scored two more
from the floor to even the score,
the Rebels went ahead apd en-
joyed a short-lived lead before
the Tigers started a scoring
barrage.

scorer for Clarksville was Deb-
bie Brent with 12.
The two teams will play agatn
next Tuesday night at River-

Clarksville Freshman and B
teams won both Monday night
games over Rivercrest at Riv-
en rest.
The freshman game score
was G9-61 and the B team took
an 83-39 win.
They’ll meet in a return en-
gagement at Clarksville next
Monday night.
Avery Boys 3-1
In New Season
1 he Avery bulldogs who fin-
ished third In "District 1C-B
last year have won three of their
first four games this year. The
girls' team Is 0-5 for the new
season.
Moved to the North Zone of
District 17-A this season the
Bulldog’s conference oponents
will be: Como-PlcktOD, Maud,
and Janies bowle. South Zone
teams are Harleton, Karnack,
Paul Pewltt, Ore City and Queen
City.
Five lettermen are return-
ing, Including two seniors. Dale
Collvlns and Randy Pipes. Jun-
ior lettermen are Jerry Boze,
Billy Huff and billy Hardman.
Pipes, Boze and Fluff were all
starters last year.

James shot the big cat with a .30-.30 rifle. It weighed
