fleeing; from Ajfua Prieta for Douirla*. Arizona, fearing; (he bom-

patches. It is expected that the entire civilian population will
abandon the town. Officials here express fear (hat the troop
trains moving five thousand Carrancistas from Eag;ie Pass
across American soil to join General ( alies' garrison at A|fua
] Prieta will he attacked hy border raiders and dynamited.
American soldiers are patrolling' the railroad to prevent attacks.
Except along; the border the State Department reports in-
dicate improvement of Mexican conditions. Through train ser
vice and telegraph communication from Laredo to Mexico City
have been re-established for the first time in two years.
