year of instruction. Considering this

won by Slmmona students. Miss
Lola Cowdcn had tho largest collec-
tion. Sho won six prizes on individual
pieces of china and also the prlzcB
for tho best display of ten pieces and
tho best general display. Miss Suella
lacy had tho second beBt perioral dis-
play of china and pictures. Miss
Mervlo Eaton won tho prize on tho
best drossor sot and Miss Zclla Peters
carried off tho third prizo for tho
best collection.

land Alllstor Goodnight Homer Tran-
tham Roy C. Scuddy and Vedor B.

Since tho O. and D. Council has con-
trol of all oratorical and debating con-
tests held in tho collego oxcept the
Intor-clasB and inter-soclcty debates
tho Council instructed its contest com-

such nature that arc to bo hold this
year and to announco a schedulo of
such contests together with rules

I am on guard duty today but will'

am still in America. I havo been av-

day afternoon. Among tho other no-
tables to rovlow tho division was Sen-
ator Underwood from Alabama.
Prof.' Mulllns came out and spent
tho day with mo last Sunday. You
know I was tickol to seo him. Wo
wont out to seo Stuart Cooper and

you see wo had quite a little Texas
party.
