bility with the H-SU Cowboys.
Last season Riddle had to play
behind all-Border Conference
quarterback Bob Hart; and the
year before behind John (Model
T) Ford ace . quarterback at
H-SU for four years.
This kept Riddle from break
ing into the starting lineup dur
ing his first two years as a mem-
ber of the purple and gold. But
last season Riddle managed .to
complete a touchdown pass to
end Bill Cagle last season's co-
captain. Coach Evans has high
regard for Riddle. "He is a great
leader oh or off the football field."
Riddle while attending' high
school in Wichita Falls lettered
in football basketball and track.
Last year Riddle lettered in
baseball at Hardin-Simmons. He
is an infielder.
Carter like his companion co-
captain is a rough and tumble
footballer who plays at the center
position. He is a two-year letter-
man in football at H-SU.
Last season Carter and Maurice
Waguespack shared the offensive
center slot. Roy hails from Rotan
home of Sammy Baugh new as-
sociate coach at H-SU and quar-
terback with the professional
Washington Redskins.
In high school the 205 pounder
lettered in football basketball
and baseball. Carter is majoring
in math and minoring in physical
education.
Both Riddle and Carter are
married.

One of the top early season
performers for the Wildcats has
