H-SU BRAND
November 5 1074
Cowboy Corner
By Jimmy Bryant
It looks as if Sigma is going to wrap up its 10 consecutive in-
tramural football championship even if the Family did upset the
champions 12-7 last Monday. This has been a great year for flag
football. The competition has been rough with everyone giving'a lot
of themselves to make the season successful. If the rest of the
intramural sports go like football it looks as if it will be a greatyoar.
One of the top players on H-SU's cage team thisyear should be Jeff
Jamieson a 6'3" senior from Odessa Permian. Jamieson has played
on the Cowboy varsity the past three years. During mid-season his
sophomore year he earned a starting berth and has started ever
since. His freshman year was spent on the H-SU junior varsity.
Jeff is mainly a defensive player. He plays mainly at the forward
position but has played at guard. His top award since coming to
H-SU was receiving the "Hustling Cowboy" award this past season.
Jamieson has played basketball on competition level since the
fourth grade when he lived in Farming N.M. Before his freshman
year his family moved to Odessa where he played high school ball.
Jeff played on Permian's varsity for three years and started his last
two years. He made the all-district team his senior year.
Concerning this year's Cowboy basketball team Jeff thinks H-SU
will have a good team with good shooters. He believes other assets
for the Cowboys are their quickness their depth and the team's
attitude.
Jamieson is majoring in accounting and plans on going into the
business field upon graduation. Besides basketball he also enjoys
playing tennis and golf. He also owns a motorcycle and enjoys
traveling.

while Sigma went 11-1.
The passing arm of David
Perkins and the kicking toe of
John McLemore will be impor-
tant factors for Sigma if the
H-SU champions are to beat
Ko-Sari for the second straight
year. Perkin's main targets to-
night should be Wayne Peel
Jared Moss and Richard Mul-
key. The battle for the little brown
jug will take place next Thurs-
day afternoon at H-SU as
H-SU's intramural all-stars will
face McMurry's all-stars in a
3:30 p.m. contest.
H-SU will be gunning for its
second straight win over the
McMurry unit. Players for the
all-star teams were selected by
