death of Mrs.Adam Cagle,which
occurred last Saturday night at
11 o’clock. The remains were
laid to rest in LanesChapel cem-
etery Sunday afternoon at three
o’clock, Rev. C. W. Officer of
Clarksville conducting the funer-
al exercises. The bereaved have
the sympathy of the whole com-
munity.
The protracted meeting will
begin at this place Friday night
before the first Sunday in Au-
gust. Quarterly conference will
be held on Saturday; let every-
body come with well filled bask-
ets, prepared to spend the day
and to stay for the night servi
ces.
Crops are looking well; boll
weevil are not so bad as they
have been, but bad enough yet

the Qity Council by resolution
duly passed, ordered the con-
struction of a concrete sidewalk
(4) four feet wide on and along
|side of the following described
real estate, to-wit: on the west
side of Delaware street, from
I the N. E. corner of lot No. 1 to
the S. E. corner of lot No. 2 in
block No 96 Gordon additional,
the same being on the East side
of said lots No. 1 and 2.
Now, unless the same shall he
constructed in the manner re-
quired by the City Ordinances,
relative to tho construction of
sidewalks, on or before the 19
day of August 1909 then the
same shall be built r>y the City
and the expenses assessed on
the premises chargeable there-
with.
