parents of the bridegroom.

tar scene which was lighted by
tall tapers In two seven-branch-

with a white kneeling rail.
Traditional wedding mualc
was presented by Mrs. Gene
Larnpard of Detroit. Mrs. Bud-
dy Uth was accompanied l>y her
daughter, Lynda, as she sang
"I Love you Truly” and ‘The
lord’s Prayer,” luring which
the couple knelt on awliltusatln
pillow at the altar.
Miss Kay Lewis, sister of the
bride served as maid uf honor.
The bridegroom’s father
served the groom as best man.
The altar tapers were lighted
by cousin* of the bride, Burton
Guest, Detroit, andChrls Lewis
of Blossom. Mothers and guests
were seated by Mackey Guest,
couslr. of the bride, and Danny
Glass, nephew of the groom.
Ring bearer, Keith Glass, also
a nephew of Uie groom, and
Vicki Glass, niece of the groom,
was flower girl.
The bride Is a graduate of
Detroit High School. She at-
tended Paris Junior College and
Northeast Texas Commercial
College In Paris and Is present-
ly employed at American Na-
tional Insurance Co. In Paris.
The groom Is a graduate of
Paris High School and lias at-
tended Paris Junior College.
He Is now employed with De-
troit Public Schools.
Mrs. Mildred Pryor, Reno,
sister of the groom, p: eslded
at the registry. Foliowln, the
wedding ceremony, a reception
honoring the couple was held In
the church annex. The parents
of both the bride and , r<> .
assisted the newlyweds In re-
ceiving guests.
The bride’s table was laid
with a white lace cloth over
blue and was centered with a
five branch silver candle hold-
er with white burning tapers.
The three-tiered wedding cake
was decorated with blue and
wlilte roses. A miniature brjpe
and groom beneath an arctwsy
of a wedding bell aqtl flowers
topped the cake. Punch was
served from a crystal bowl with
the cake by Miss Lisle Helms
and Miss Sandra Moore, De-
troit. Miss Mary Barnwell and
Mrs. Brenda Fleming of Paris
assisted at the bride’s table.
Rice begs were distributed
by Mies Claudia Glass, niece
of the groom.
Out of town guests were Mrs.
Alfred Weddle and Mr. and Mrs.
James Nations and Rhonda, Ft.
Worth, Mr. and M rs. Oscar Na-
tions, Mrs. B D. Nations and
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Lewis and

Mrs. Fulton Latimer was
hostess Tuesday to the Julia
Graham Circle of First Baptist
Church. Meeting was opened
with song “Let Others See Jesus
In You.” Mrs. Allen brought
the devotional from the 2nd
chapter of Joel. Sentence pray-
ers were voiced for the mis-
sionaries. Roll call was ans-
wered with scripture verse.
Mrs. Lucille Kunkel, chair-
man, presided over the busi-
ness meeting. Reports were
heard from" the standing com-
mittees.
Mrs. Jimmie Adams brought
the lesson from Royal Service.
Mrs. Nat Williams led the clos-
ing prayer.
Refreshments were served to
the following Mesdames Lucille
Kunkel, Cordle Thompson, Jim-
mie Adams, Bonnie Allen, Flora
Storey, B. C. Jones, Nat Wil-
liams, Dean Wren and two vis-
itors, Mrs. George Shoulders
and Mrs. Jack Jeter.

the former Cheryl Kennedy of
Avery, has finished his techni-
cal training at Amarillo AFB,
Texas, as a U. S. Air Force
aircraft maintenance special-
ist. Airman Megason com-
pleted basic training at Lack-
land AFB, Texas. He has been
home on two weeks leave. He
reports back to German AFB.
He Is a 1965 graduate of Avery
High Sschool.
