New Game Law.
Every person hunting in coun-
ties outside of his place of resi-
dence or the adjoining counties is
required under the revised law to
register his name and secure a
permit from the State Game Com-
missioner and pay a fee of $1.75.
Permits will be issued by the
county clerk of each county. A
synopsis of the game law made
by the game, fish and oyster com-
missioner, is as follows:
You may kill 25 quail or doves
in any one day only from Novem-
ber 1st to February 1st of each
year.
You may kill three buck deer
only from November 1st. to Jan-
uary 1 st of each year.
You may kill three wild turkey
only from December 1 st to April
1 st of each year.
You may kill in all seasons of
the year, duck, ^eese, robins, wild
pigeon, snipe, jacksnipe, curlew,
Mexican pheasants or chaclaca;
bag limit 25 in any one day.
You may kill rabbits, squirrels,
fox, opossoms, coons, bear in any
number, all ssasons.
You may ship or transport to
your home such game as you have
lawfully killed by making proper
affidavit.
You must not buy or sell any of
the wild game or game birds, or
kdl, catch or destroy the eggs or
have in possession living or dead,
any wild song bird, except hawks,
crows, buzzards, owls, English
sparrows, rice birds and black
birds.
You must not hunt for any game
or birds at night with a lantern,
hunting lamp or any other light.
Any person may hunt or kill
any game during the open season,
when it is lawful to kill game, in
his county of residence or in the
counties adjoining the county of
his residence, or any land owned
or controlled by him, without pro-
curing a license; but they must
not bunt beyond the boundaries
of their adjoining counties without
this license.
