Ridinger-Spriegel.
At 7:45, Wednesday evening,
Mr. C. S. Ridinger and Miss Dell
L. Spriegel drove to the Metho-
dist parsonage and in the presen-
ce of a few relatives and friends
were united in the bonds of wed-
lock, Rev. E. Y. S. Hubbard of-
ficiating. All parties immediate-
ly repaired to the Bay View Ho-
tel in attendance upon prayer
service, the happy couple after-
wards receiving the congratulat-
ions of many friends present. Af-
ter prater .meeting most of the
congregation followed them to
the residence of Mr. and Mrs.
(Crocker, where refreshments wer
served on the lawn. Friends of
the newly wed couple proceeded
to give, them a linen shower, and
judging from the expressions of
joy and the felicitations made on
every side, all seemed to be hap-
py, and we all trust that it was
but the beginning *)f a long’ life
full of such happy hours.
Mr. and Mrs. Ridinger left on
the evening train Thursday for
their new home in Houston.

Fish Stories of the Week.
Port Aransas Post.
While the w*eek has not been
ideal, some smart fishing has beeni
reported.
The experts have been played

largest 6 feet, and the smallest
3 feet. The 3-foot fish is the
smallest of the season.
“A Fisherman’s Luck,” That’s
what they all say to Lewis Clark,
Jr., a traveling man from New
Orleans, who landed here Tues-
day and waded into the tarpon
tribe like a mad cyclone Mr.

ulation tackle, but the record he
Inade Tuesday, though not the
best of the season, entitles him to
expert honors. He took them as
they came, landing 5 tarpon out
of as many strikes. Some of the
experts who would have be^n
content with one per day for the
past three weeks, went into pri-
vate consultation with Mr. Clark
to learn how he did it.
Cyrus Farley went the fisher-
men one better this week and
raised the j elfish record to a
mark that will be hard to cap.
In two hours he landed five nice
ones. They were not the largest
that have been caught, but were
out of the minnow class. The
largest weighed 291 pounds and
the smallest lib. These are a
