Commeroe, Tex., Sept. 19.—C.
A. McAdams, night baggage-
man at the Cotton Belt depot
here, was found dead in the bag-
gage room about 1:30o’olook this
morning. Considerable mystery
is attaohed to his death. No
mat its of violence were found on
his body exoept that one eye wee
out and bruised. The elaotrio
light wire was partially around
his body and had been pulled
from its fastenings on the ceiling.
Deaeased had been dead several
hours when found, as the body
wan stiff, and tho chin appeared
to bo bitten by rats. Justice of
the Peace MoDaniel is holding an
inquest, but has not arrived at a
verdiot.
Mr. MoAdams was a member
of the Odd b'ullows and the Wood-
men of the World and had $1,000
insurance in the Woodmen. He
leaves a widow and fourohildren.
It might have been because h-*

words would not make things any
better, but it wasr/t that, tithcr.
It wa9 because he wsh a man
