Notes

Text of item: "My dear Ceci: Again another week and no letter - So this one will be decidedly brief. I sent you a postal card report of the calamity that befell John Thompson - Eddie has written Jim the full particulars as disclosed by Hester, which represents all we know here, but may not be all that should be known, tho' I fervently hope it will so turn out - Herb and Mary Jean + Dan are down for the weekend - all look well. Herb has a most favorable report on Aunt Niny whom he saw on his trip to San Francisco. I really have nothing else to write - and I confess that between the John Thompson episode and some or rather one or two business worries, I am not in either a communicative or mentally alert mood. Much love- fondly Dad.
