It will be remembered that Mrs.
Shaw is the widow of the late Bud
Shaw, a Delta County boy who was
killed in an automobile accident in
Dallas about two years ago. After
his death Mrs. Shaw took a business

RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT
To the officers and members of the
Klondike Independent School Board:
We, your committee appointed to
draft resolutions of respect in mern-
oiy of our beloved member cl the
school board and neighbor, C. M.
Henderson, submit the following:
Whereas: it has pleased our heav-
enly Father, in His infinite wisdom,
W H iWill) Bell authorizes us to
announce his candidacy for commis-
sioner of precinct 1, subject to the
action of the Democratic primary.
Mr. Bell was born in Tennessee but
came to Texas 37 years ago and for
the past 28 years has resided in Del-
ta County.
While a resident of Amy 24 years
ago he was a candidate for this of-
fice and lost to Jim Redus by one
vote. Later he was elected County
Collector and served the people of the
county acceptably from 1914 to 1918.
Since this time Mr. Bell has held a
! responsible position with Cooper
Hardware Co. and successor, R N.
Stovall Hardware Co., where his serv-
ices have been satisfactory.
I Mr. Bell is a competent business
man, dependable and trustworthy. He
, is conservative and a man of mature
judgement and conscientious.
I He is asking the voters to consider
his candidacy, and if elected, he prom-
ises to give the public his best efforts

has been employed as secretary and

marked degree of ability and legal
knowledge that her services are al-
most equal to that of an evident law

The legal training and experience
in the law office particularly fits Miss
