In the beginning of this letter we
want to state that we had your Enloe
news ready last week and sent it over
to the publisher but it was misplaced
and did not get to the hands of the
publisher until after the paper went
to press. We will use all material
again even though it be a lit*,e old.
H. M. Patterson of Gilmer, Texas,
spent a few days preceding Christmas
with |his parents, Mr. and Mrs .J. C.
Patterson. He is moving his residence
from Gilmer to Shrevesport, La,
where he has accepted a position
with a lumber firm.
Miss Ophelia Johnston, who has a
position in Dallas spent the holidays
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. B.
Johnston.
Mrs J. M. Yeargan, who has been
111 for some time, is improving some.
She went to the sanitarium last week
for a couple of days for examinatim

and at Ben Franklin. Mrs. Hooks
spent most of the time with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Oats of Ben Frank-
lin, , Her time was especially devot-
ed to them, due to the fact that her
mother is in very bad health.
B. B. Viles attended a meeting of
the Chevrolet dealers of this section
in Dallas on Tuesday after Christ-
mas.
Mrs. Velma Matkin, who underwent
an operation at the sanitarium some
weeks ago. is able to be up most of the
time.
F v. Seaberrv from Everman. Tex,
who for a number of years was pas-
tor of the Adventist Church here,
preached a series of sermons durini
the holidays. As is their custom they
used the Baptist Church for their
services.
Mrs. Maggie Allen, daughter and
sister of Paris, and Mrs. Willie Chap-
man of Greenville spent a portion of
Christmas week with Borden Brown.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mullins and wife
spent Christmas with relatives at
Howland.
Miss Flomne Mills of Sulphur

for some one would be omitted. To
aay, however, that we appreciated
seeing them back in their homes and
asaociaitng with friends and for tne
effort that they are exerting in fitting
themselves for useful citizens would

Christmas here was celebrated in

good will prevailed. Not a mishap of
any sort came to mar the celebration
of our Master’s birthday.

iting J. C. Berry, fell on the ice Sun-
day morning and was unconscious for
some time. Fear was expressed that
he had received serious injury, but in
a few hours he was alright.
John Abbot and wife from Brice,
Okla., arrived Tuesday night for a
visit with Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Moore.
Mrs. Price, mother of Mrs. Breck-
enridge, returned to her home in Ter-
rell Sunday afternoon after a sho*t
stay here.
Desmond Berry and wife are visit-
ing Mrs. Berry's parents, Mr. ar.d

D. S. Robinson and wife, who have
been visiting his sons, W. M. Robin-
son of this place, and B. D. Robinson
of Cooper, returned home Friday.
Misses Maggie and Cora Little were
shopping with Miss Willie Robinson
of Cooper, in Paris Tuesday.
New Highway Map
Will Be Made
A detailed highway map is being
made by the State Highway Depa,f-
ment for the purpose of giving mo-
torists the exact condition and route
of each state highway, states Division
Engineer W. D. Dockery. It Is to oe
hoped such an authentic map will oe
given the public, as few of the maps
published so far have given the loca-
tion of highway 39 traversing Delta
County.
