Mr. K. J. Foster spent several days I beat the McMurry speedster you can
in Hobbron, villc recently, and while | match a race without the least trouble,
here staked out the new Jim Hogg
County highway on which work will
soon begin. Mr. Foster is the en-
gineer who will be in charge of the
work.
On Wednesday of last week Torn
East shipped to the Miller Bros. 101
ranch, in Oklahoma, a carload of
ponies that will be used for show
animals. These ponies were raised on
the East ranch and most of them
'show a strong strain of the Arabiun.
Mr. W. T. Acklen is planting a
small orchard of forty or fifty orange
and grapefruit trees on his pretty 10-
acre farm adjoining the town on the
northwest. Mr. Robert Hiiuiant is
also setting out a bit of orange and
grapefruit trees at his home near the
Acklen farm.
Dr. M. P. Cullinan, head of the
Border Gas Company, spends much of
his time in llebbronville now, giving
his personal attention to the work
of laying the various pipelines that
will soon be supplying llebbronville
with natural I gus. Dr. Cullman says
the more lie sees of llebbronville the
better the town looks to him.
