Barney Anderso i will reprosen'
the Texas-Mexican Railroad at
the Cattlemen’s t'ouveut on, soon
to be held in El Paso More car-
loads of cattle originate on the
Tex-Mex. than on any railroad in
the United States, and as Hcb
bronville is the country’s largest
shipping point, it is quite proper
that Barney AJiderson the road
Hcbbronville agent, should he at
the El Paso convention. Charley
Chraigheud, the Cattle Baiters
brand inspector, with headquart-
ers at Hcbbronville, will go along
to chaperon Barney, who has
never before atended a Cattle
Raisers Convention that f r in
home; and Mr. Edds. who la a
member of the executive com-
incntee of the Call* Raiser’ Asao
edition will, of course, attend the
convention, and wiTl lo< k after
the pair of them. Aerosa the Rio
Grande from El Paao liea Juarez
which was made famous by the
late Johnny Russell’s Black Cat
and where anti-Volstead cheer is
still d spenoed; and should Bar-
ney and Charley, when they go
over there as the rest of those
who attend the convention will
do, Mr. Edds will be on hand to
render fist aid. in case it is need
ed. While the Convention i» aev-
cral days off yet Barney is so
busy making preparations for the
coming event that when Super'
intendent Mike Leyerdecker
wants him at the phone a uiesaen
ger haa to be sent c>ut to round
him up, while Mrs Anderson has
to send Barney Jr., to remind
him when his meals are on the
table. Barney is, without doubt,
anticipating the time of his life,
and those El Paso people will
certainly see that he gets a'l that
is coming to him for when it
! comes to entertaining visitors
they take the limit off and their
hospitality knows no hounds.
