see either the car or the young man.
The scattered remains of the deceas-
ed were picked up in a basket by Au-
brey Goff of the local undertaking
establishment and brought to the un-
dertaking parlors, where it was cared
for. Pieces of flesh and bones and
other portions of the body wwhich
lined the track for some distance tell
their own mute story. It was a ghastly
sight, which sobered and sickened all
whose duty it was to visit the scene
of the tragedy.
The wrecked automobile was car-
ried a distance of some 250 feet after
the body was dropped. Pieces of
cushion, steering wheel, fender and
other parts of the car were scattered
all along the right-of-way but the
main body of the car was dumped to
the right of the track several feet
west of tha second crossing.
Among the scattered wreckage was
found a note book in which was a
school voucher properly signed by W.
W. Sparks and some of the trustees
at South Sulphur. This was the clue
which furnished identification of the
deceased. His parents were notified
and came overland to this place and
and vvill carry the remains back to
Saltillo for interment.
