kets. | *
These sales were consummated dur-
ing the ten days when the market
was at its peak, Mr. Edwards said and
represents a big profit to the mem-
bers of the Texas Farm Bureau Cot-
ton Associaton.
The Abercos, a ship of 6,076 gross
tonnage has been furnshed by the
U. S. Shipping Board, and will dock
at Houston December 17th. Five days
have been allowed for loading, and
arrival of cargo in Liverpool will be
about 21 days later. Plans have been
made for officials of the Association \ 4 505-6 First National Bank Bldg.
to accompany the boat from Houston I « _Photif_
to Galveston.
It was also announced that Texas
would be widely advertised through
this shipment, steps being taken to
extensively mark the boat so that the
world will know “it is from Texas”.
The Association has made previous
shipments to Liverpool and other gor-
eign markets this year, but this is
the largest shipment that has been
made to date and according to the
best information we have, is the lar-
gest single water shipment of Texas
! ci tton by any one shipper from Texas.
