Funeral Rites Held
For Mrs. Kovar
Funeral services were held
at the Knesek Funeral chapel
and St. John Catholic church
at FayettevjUe Friday morn-
ing for Miss Veronika Kovar,
who expired at the county
hospital here Wednesday.
The deceased, who would
have been 90 on October 22,
was a native of Czechoslova-
kia but had been a Fayette
county resident for 80 years.
The Rev. Thomas Matl offi-
ciated and burial was in the
church cemetery. Koenig Fu-
neral Home was in charge.
There are no known sur-
vivors.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hinly of
Houston spent the week-end
with Mr. and Mrs. V. J. Koss
and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Rosen-
berg.
Bluff H. D. Club
Plans Fair Exhibit
The Bluff Home Demon-
stration club met September
12 at the home of Miss Martha
Petter with Mrs. Vastine Jan-
da as co-hostess. Eighteen
members answered the roll
call.
Mrs. Martha Hoffmann, club
president, and Mrs. George
Adarncik gave interesting re-
ports on their trip to A. & M.
college.
Final plans were made for
the club’s exhibit at the coun-
ty fair.
After the business meeting
Mrs. Vada Luckenbach gave a
demonstration on landscaping,
using colored picture slides to
illustrate her talk.
After the meeting a delicious
lunch was served by the host-
