Mrs. Herbert Manes was
hostess for the Birthday Club
on February 9, with nine mem-
bers and three visitors, Mar-
gie I’off, Avie Cain and Connie
Perkins, attending.
Alter the meeting was called
or order by the president, Mrs.
T. E. Gunter, new officers were
elected including Mrs. Gunter
president; Irene Johnson, vice-
president; Mrs. Loy Robnelt
secretary and treasurer, and
\ olma i ay lor, reporter.
New committees were also
appointed. Mrs. Kobnett gave
the treasurer’s report and read
minutes of the previous meet-
ing. Members responded toroll
call with a chuckle or a verse of
Scripture.
“Happy Birthday” was sung
to the hostess afterwhich the
Lord’s Prayer was repeated in
unison.
Mis. Harris, Fdith Shumate
and Avie Cain received the
game prizes.
At the conclusion of the meet-
ing, gifts were presented the
hostess and refreshments were
served. Names were drawn for
secret pais for a new year.
The next meeting will be
March 27 with Miss Velma
Taylor as hostess.

ville.

fadden of Greenville, are the
parents of the bride and the
bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and M rs. R ichardF. Scarbrough
also of Greenville.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore an A-1 uie
floor length gown with a satin
skirt. The bodice was lace lined
with satin and featured a V-
neckline and long luce sleeves
terminating with ruffles. Twel-
ve buttons accented the front
of the gown. Her full net veil
was enhanced with white daisies
and her bouquet was fashioned
of white Iceberg chrysanthe-
mums with a background of
illusion.
Addie Beth Aldridge was maid
of Honor and Carolyn Layden
Ray was bridesmaid. They wore
A-line floor length gowns of
yellow crepe featuring V-neck-
lines with yellow and gold flow-
ers outlining the waistline.
They carried large gold chry-
santhemums with a background
of illusion.
Carol Ann Sisk was Dower
girl.
Donald W. Duquett served the
groom as best man and David
Cook was groomsman. They
also seated guests.
Preceding the ceremony, Mary
F annie Monroe played “More”,
“A Time For Us,” “TheTwel-
fth of Never”, and “The Wed-
ding Prayer,” and accompan-
ied Rebecca Narramore as she
sang, “The Wedding Song”.

topped with a miniature bride
and groom, was served the
guests.

The bride is a 1972 graduate
of Greenville High School and
