Plans Annual Picnic
The La Grange K J T. met
Sunday afternoon for its reg-
ular quarterly meeting al the
K J . T. office.
Plans were made for the an-
nual picnic to be staged on
Sunday, July 30. The K J. Z.
T. members are invited to join
in the affair.
The patronal feast will be
observed on Monday, July 31
with a Mass being said for the
intention of the members at
Sacred Heart church All mem-
bers are to attend and receive
Holy Communion in a body,
likewise the members were re-
minded of July 30 as being the
fifth Sunday of the month
when members are also to re-
ceive Holy Communion in a
body. Other business was
routine.

.Enjoyed Sunday
The family of Franz and Le-
na Foerster held its reunion
Sunday at C. J Fritsch’s park
in La Grange. The family
prayer was led by Mrs. Ro
bert J. Kallus. At noon a pic-
nic style meal was enjoyed. It
was decided to have a reunion
again next year at the same
place.

voted to have a benefit bake

June 24 and to join the La
Grange K. J. T members for
their annual picnic on Sunday,
July 30.
It was voted to extend a
special courtesy to the Edmund
Svrcek family who recently
was in an auto-accident.
One new member, Elaine
Cernoch, was added to the
junior division. All members
were urged to participate in
the membership drive spon-
sored by the state office.
Other business was of rou-
tine nature.

ally, in the tenth Leon Janus-
zewski beat out a bunt and

Henry Lehmann, gave up se-
ven.
The scheduled game between
second place Dime Box and
fourth place Bastrop was call-
ed off because of rain.
Carmine having an open
date played a non-league game
with Weimar of the South
Cen-Tex Amateur League at
the annual Ledbetter Home-
coming and took a beating of
14 to 2.
On next Sunday’s Tri-Coun-
ty League slate, Shelby at Car-
mine, Dime Box at Brenham
and Bastrop goes to Warda.
