Mrs. Jennie Clark Laid To
Rest Monday at Elm Grove
Funeral services were
held at Elm Grove on Mon-
day afternoon, Aug. 13. for
Mrs. Jennie Langley Clark,
who passed away at Schul-
enburg early Sunday morn-
ing Aug. 12. She was 90
years, five months, and eight
days of age at the. time of
her death.
Mrs. Jennie Langley Clark
was born March 4, 1866, in
Lawrenceville, Ga.- the
daughter of J. D'. and Nancy
Langley.
The family moved to Tex-
as when Mrs. Clark was
about six years old and
settled in Fayette County.
She spent the remaining
years of her life iri^or near
this community..
She was united in mar-
riage on Feb. 4, 1885, to W
C. Butler, and'five children
were born to this union. Mr.
Butler and three of the chil-
dren preceded her in death'.
She was united in mar-
riage a second time on Sept.
4, 1922 to C. W. Clark, who
also preceded her in death
in 1929.
She united with the Elm
Grove Baptist Church as a
young girl and when she
moved to Smithville, trans-
ferred her membership to
the First Baptist Church of
Smithville.
Survivors are: A daugh-
ter, Mrs. S. H. McCrorey of
