ously. when the 1953 Chevro-
let loach in which they were
riding was struck by a trailer-
truck just west of Schulen-
burg on Highway 90 about 1:15
p. m. Wednesday.
Taken to the Youens hospi-

Hall, said the Vaseks were
driving east in the vicinity of
Bob Adamcik’s cafe, when
their car was struck from the
rear by a 1954 Chevrolet truck-
tractor, driven by Elmer Wayne
Bohnert of Houston.
The officers said the front of
the truck rammed half-way
into the passenger car, which
was pushed 225 feet through
a ditch into a junk yard.
Bohnert was taken before
Justice of the Peace W. D.
Johnson at Flatonia. and plea-
ded guilty to a charge of de-
fective brakes. Deputy Sher-
iff Adamcik said that other
charges are pending the out-
come of the injured members.
The Chevrolet was demol-
ished.

60th wedding anniversary.

baked chicken and all the
trimmings was served with
the assistance of other rela-
tives, at the Muldoon recrea-
tion center nearby.

tiful four - tiered anniversary
i cake, on top of which was a
diamond ring and the number
“60.” The arched ornament
: held the pictures of the hon-
! orees surrounded in gold,
i Beautiful candy roses added
the finishing touch. By this J
! Stood a beautiful cake in the
form of the Holy Bible, open-
ed at the 23rd Psalm and bear-
ing the honorees’ name, which
was presented by a niece and
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Harold
i Eckert.
Mr. Parker is 76 and Mrs.
Parker, nee Lillie Robbins, is
| 78. They are the parents of five
i children, four having passed
j on, and are pioneers of the
, Muldoon community.

riders were Terry Blume. Cyn-
