Tommy Kubena and Robert

(Continued from Page ’)
Steinhauser (4-5) due on the
firing line for the Flatonians.
The No. 2 Bernardo Hurri-
canes, a half game behind the
Demons but with one more
game to play than La Grange,
do not expect too much trou-
ble when they host the Plum
Blue Sox. Hurricane skipper
Mel Neuendorff has two top-
flight tqssers in Ray Dungen
(5-1) and Bert Brosig (5-1)
and either could get the as-
signment. Bob Burnside (1-4)
is due out for the Blue Soxers.
Bernardo has another rain-
out to play with Ammanns-
ville, and any of three combi-
nations of wins and losses
could bring about a ’Cane-La
Grange first place tie, first
place for La Grange or the
top rung for Bernardo.
Other weekend games are at
Shiner, where Bob Bubolz’s
third place Clippers nlav host
to Ammnnnsville’s Ramblers,
5-2 losers to La Grange a week
ago: and at Swiss Alp, where
the No. 4 Weimar Veterans
form the opposition fpr Wel-
don Kaase’s Farmers.
Shiner and Weimar also are
only a half-game apart and,
the Clippers having an addi-
tional frav left with Plum, the
likelihood of a third and fourth
place tie also is a possibility.
