this morning, under date of Juno 26,
from Shan Hai Kwan, say;*: News of
r. big battle near Kaiping has been
brought here by Chinese couriers. The
battle is said to be still raging, and
lo be going against the Russians, but
the details of the lighting are not ob-
tainable. The Japanese engaged are
believed to be part of Kuroqi’s force,
and are said to number over 110,000
men, while the Russians have a some-
what greater force.
