. Linda Salm Weds
' Herb Rabel Saturday
Miss Linda Beth Sahti and
Herbert Emil Rabel were unit-
. ed in marriage at a Nuptial
High Mass in Sacred Heart
church at 10 o’clock Saturday
morning Rt. Rev. Msgr. S. A.
Zientek officiated at the double
ring ceremony.
Mrs. John L. Sulak provided
the wedding music with mem-
bers of the choir singing the
Mass. Vases of gladioli and car-
nations were used to decorate
the church altars.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. W. L. Salm and the late
Dr. Salm. The groom is the
son of Mrs. Alois Rabel of Wei-
mar and the late Mr. Rabel.
Given in marriage by her
grandfather, Chas. M. Wem,
the bride chose a formal jpwn
fashioned of silk organza. The
overlay of reembroidered Alen-
con lace shadowed the scallop-
ed neckline and extended into
the top of the long tapered
sleeves. A bond of lace defined
the waistline which dipped in
the back. Appliques of lace, in
cartwheel fashion, circled the
bouffant skirt. A cluster of or-
ganza flowers held her fly-a-
way veil of silk illusion. Her
bouquet of white roses and
pink carnations was centered
with a corsage of sweetheart
roses.
Miss Linda Ripple of El Cam-
po, a roommate of the bride at
the University of Texas, served
as maid of honor. Bridesmaids
were Miss Irene Buske of Shi-
ner, also a University of Texas
student; Miss Mary Jane Dari-
lek, Miss Jane Kallus, Miss

Williams. They were dressed a-
like in aqua organza. Their
street length dresses featured
square necklines and above
the elbow sleeves. A watteau
panel held by two tiny satin
bows accented the dress back
A floral pouf in matching color
was worn in their hair. They
carried bouquets of white roses
and pink carnations.
The groom’s best man was
his brother, Emil Rabel of
Houston. Groomsmen were
