CARD OF THANKS
I wish to voice my manifold
thanks to Dr. Albert H. Bro-
den, N. D., for all he has done
for me. I am a farmer. My age
is 59. I have been ill the past
15 years. I was gradually get-
ting worse. At times I was on
the point of death.
I had a bad case of heart
trouble, prostitis, inflamation
of the bowles; my left arm and
shoulder was in constant pain.
I could not raise my arm high-
er than the hip. I used to walk
the floor nights hoping that
soon would be day. I heard
about Dr. Broden a long while
' from his patients as well as
in the papers about the won-
derful things he is doing. Al-
though I am 175 away, I de-
cided I would see him anyway.
He examined me and told me
exactly what ailed me without
me telling him any of my pro-
blems. I told him nothing. He
gave me four treatments and
I began to live again. I was
as near dead as a man could
be. I feel like a new born baby.
I have no more pains nor aches,
i I sleep all night long. I got back
my appetite. My heart feels
stronger than ever.
I feel that it was God-send
to me to have Dr. Broden as
my Doctor and so will every
one that reads this testimony.

The products of the petroleum industry are litdrally everywhere.
o „0/ Every hour of the day, oil or natural gas serves you and virtually
every other American. Oil is indispensable to our way of life; it
makes the United States a better, safer country to live in.
You may wake in the morning in a room warmed by a furnace burning fuel
oil or natural gas.
You drive to work, and your car burns gasoline, uses petroleum oils and
greases for lubricants, rolls on tires of synthetic rubber which) had their beginning
in an oil refinery.
»_
The plant where you w ork may depend on oil or natural gas as the source of
its power. The oil and gas industry supplies 65% of the nation's energy
requirements.
Meanwhile, if you live in Texas, your children are attending schools to
the support of which the oil industry pays heavy production and ad valorem taxes.
And your U. S. Army, Navy and Air Force plan the national defense with confi-
dence that the oil industry has developed the proven reserves that can fuel their
machines of war. Oil also supplies munitions — TNT for instance.
Finally, the lady of the house may prepare dinner on a stove fueled with
natural gas, and you may go to bed in pajamas laundered with a petroleum deter-
gent, after reading a newspaper printed with ink made from oil, in a room
decorated with a paint manufactured from petroleum.
... And that's only a beginning.
The products of the petroleum industry, oil and natural gas, head the list
of our most useful resources. A progressive, competitive oil industry, encouraged
in the future as in the past, will undertake the further development that will keep
them there.
