A. A veteran friend of
mine recently became blind
in both eyes as the result of
an, tiut.o .accident. Although
his blindness has nothing to
do with his service in the
armed forces, he does have
a service - connected dis-
ability. Is he eligible for
special aids for the blind,
furnished by VA?
A. Yes. Eligibility re-
quirements for aid to the.
blind admministered by VA
state that the veteran must
be entitled to comperisa-
tion for a. service-connected
disability and be blind in
both eyes. The blindness
itself, however, need not be
service-connected.
Resolution of Respect
Wher.eas, it has pleased
our Creator in His wisdom
to remove from our midst
our beloved comrade, Alfred
J. Janca,
Be It Resolved, that Je-
rome Michal Post No. 94
American Legion bows in
humble submission to the
will, of the Almighty in
acknowledging the loss of
this beloved comrade^ who
has served his country, his
community and this Post so
faithfully.
Be It Further Resolved,
that recognizing the irre-
parable loss to the members
of his family, the members
of this Post do extend to his
wife, Mrs. A. J. Janca, and
to his children, Mrs. John
Mueller, Dr. M. G. Janca,
and Milton Janca, their
deepest sympathy and con-
dolences,
