Workshop By TSTA
Is Held At Victoria
A workshop for TSTA local
unit leaders was held Sept. 15
in the Trinity Episcopal Church
at Victoria.
Edwin E. Plowman of Hal-
lettsville, president of District
XII, presided at the opening
general session, and the key-
note address was given by Mrs.
Elizabeth Little of Corpus
Christi, president of the Texas
State Teachers’ Association.
Mrs. Little urged teachers to
give unselfishly of themselves
and stated that the challenges
she had given in her address
must measure up to each per-
son’s talent. After the address.
Mrs. Little gave a short report
of her trip to Paris as a UN de- j
legate, and offered her impres- j
sions of world problems as rela
closing general session.
The representatives attend-
ing the meeting from the Fay-
ette County Teachers’ Associa-
tion Local Unit I were Mrs. Vi-
ola Spiess, president; Mrs. Ve-
ra Bucek, first vice president;
Fred H. Oppermann, treasurer;

Following a banquet session,
six discussion group meetings

points to put the Rangers a-
hend, 16-0. With four minutes
left to play in the initial period,
Mensik hit end Allen Berger
with a 10-yard jump pass that

The Rangers second unit saw

the last three periods and turn-i

The Rangers added an in-
surance touchdown in the third
quarter. Cernosek took a 13
yard TD pass from Mensik,
scoring his second touchdown
of the night and^iis sixth of the
young season. David Gabler,
Gary Lacina, and Allen Berger

We couldn’t make Comet much tougher, so we made it more
beautiful Made the outside sleeker, sportier—from every angle.
Made the interiors more luxurious. Made every engine bigger,
from the 200 cu.-in. "6” through the hefty new 289 cu.-in!
Cyclone Super V-8 (225 hp). Made the ride even smoother, more
solid and silent. The one thing not new in this racy ’65 seqqel is
the stamina that made Comet the World's Durability Champion.
You wouldn’t want that to change, would you? It didn’t.
