States after spending the past
three years in the Far East.
The Air, Force sergeant and
family are spending a 30-day
leave visiting here with his
parents, Henry Kaehler and
Mrs. Hilda Kaehler and at
Yoakum with Mrs. Kaehler’s
mother, Mrs. Mary Blahuta.
They also spent some time
with Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Ruck-
ert here and Mr. and Mrs. A.
J. Smith in San Antonio. Con-
templated also is a visit to Del
Rio with A-2C and Mrs Ruben
Kaehler.
The Koehlers expect to leave
the end of next week for a lie-
surly trip to Greensville, S. C.
where the sergeant will be
stationed at Donaldson Air
Force Base.
With nine years of service al-
ready behind him, George ex-
pects to make it 20 and then
return to La Grange and prob-
ably go into business.

The first regular Girl Scout
meeting of troop leader. Miss
Ethel Melcher, and assistant
leader, Mrs. Betty Kuhn, met
Tuesday at the Girl Scout Hut
with fourteen young girls at-
tending.
Discussion was held on the
hike the girls had taken to the
Jaycee park.
Officers for the following!

Quinn; secretary, Lana Hengst;
treasurer, Cynthia Lanius: and
parliamentarian, Jane Janssen.

car collided with a 1956 Chev-
rolet driven by Charles Smith,
who was traveling west. Mr.
Smith is a chemist for the De-
partment of Public Safety at
Austin.
Mr Smith was takhn to the
hospital, but was released
when it was found he sus-
tained no fractures or serious
hurts. Mr Michael was taken
to his family physician for a
check, and was also released.
Both machines were exten-
sively damaged, the ’56 Chev-
rolet on the left side and the
46 model in the fronj area.
