Escorted down the aisle by
her father, the bride wore a
long white rose brocade gown,
high princess shape with a
scooped neckline. It had short
sleeves and a double band ac-
cented the empire line. A ca-
thedral length detachable train
that was pleated on top com-

Miss Donna Bierds of Rose-
bud was maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Misses Dot-
ty Roitsch, the bride’s cousin
of La Grange; Grace Ford
Melcher, the bride’s cousin of
Port Lavaca; Phyllis Maring of
Georgetown, and Mrs. Ray
Long, cousin of the bride of
Austin. Junior bridesmaid was
Miss Janis Roitsch, the bride’s
sister.
They wore identical long
gold rose brocaded gowns with
ivory back-grounds and car-
ried red gladioli with magnolia
foliage. Their headpieces were
triangles of matching brocade
tied with a small bow at the
throat.
David Krause served his
brother as best man. Grooms-
men were J. C Melcher, the
bride’s cousin of Port Lavaca;
Roger Roitsch, the bride’s bro-
ther; Johnny Kopecky of Ro-
gers and James Watts of Fort
Worth. Ernie Jones of Austin
was ring bearer. Ushers ware
Doug Simmons and Ray Long
of Austin and Ronnie Tietz of
Cuero.
Assisting at the reception
held in the church parish hall

The bridal cake was four
tiered. It had a white rectan-
gular base with three round
tiers heavily embossed with
clusters of roses on top and
garlands of similar roses along
the sides which were delicate-
ly touched with yellow.
Both are graduates of La
Grange High school. The bride
attended Texas Women’s Uni-
versity and The University of
Texas where she will receive a
degree in math in January. Her
husband received a BBA de-
gree from The University of
Texas in June and is now an
Ensign in the Navy.
They will make their home
in Athens, Ga., where Mr.
Krause is attending US Navy

The rehearsal was held Sat-
urday morning and dinner was
served at noon at Cottonwood
Inn hosted by Mrs. Krause,
the groom’s mother. The bride
and groom exchanged gifts and
presented gifts to their attend-
ants.

where the bride lived in Aus-
tin while attending Texas Uni-
versity honored her on Sun-

recognition from the American
Jersey cattle club for a record
completed in his dairy herd.
His Tonya Fashion Leader
gave 8,950 pounds of milk with
425 fat in 305 days for a record
that far exceeds the average of
all US dairy cows, the club
noted.

Army PFC Earl A. Roemer,
24, son of Alfred E. Roemer,
Rt. 1, Carmine, is serving with
the inter-American peace force
in the Dominican Republic. He
is regularly stationed at Fort
Bragg, N. C., and a military
policeman. Roemer entered the
Army in December 1963 and
completed basic training at
Fort Polk, La. He is a 1959
graduate of Burton High
schoul and was employed in
Houston, before entering the
Army.
