Miss Sandra Mlertschin, bride-
elect of Raymond Matthijetx, was
honored with a miscellaneous brid-
al shower Saturday night, Oct. 1#,
at the Hugo Matlhljuts residence
at La Grange from 7 to 9 p. m.
Upon arrival the bride-elect was
presumed with a white IHb eorsage
studed with tiny pink and yellow
rose buds. The honoree'g mother,
Mrs. Leon Mlertschin, und the pros-
pective groom'# mother, Mrs. Hugo
Matthijetx, were presented with
lavender iris corsages.
The gift table was covered with
a lace cloth and a large cake de-
corated with wedding bells and
pink roses.
After several guinea were play-
e, the honoree opened her gifts.
Mrs. Alvin Herzog registered the
gifts and the bride-to-be was as-
sisted with the gifts by the other
hostesses—Mrs Max Matthijetx,
Mrs. Benard Klessel and Mrs. Roy
Menge.
After the bride-elect expressed
her thanks and appreciation, re-
freshments consisting of chicken
salad sandwiches, potato chips,
pickles, a large variety of cakes
and coffee were served to the
guests.
The wedding is planned for Sat-
urday, October 30, at St. Michael's
Lutheran church In Winchester
with the reception following at the
VFW hall in La Orange.
Pink And Blue Shower
Mrs. Judy Krltsche was honored
with a baby shower on Saturday
night, Oct. 16, at the Winchester
Community hall. The honoree, her
mother, Mrs. Martin Zoch. and mo-
ther-in-law. Mrs. Carl Fritsche, and
the hostesses wore pink carnation
corsages.
The gift table was covered with
a lace tablecloth over a blue cloth
and centered with u baby doll Af-
ter several games, the mother-to-
be npeued the gifts and expressed
her thanks for thorn.
Refreshments of chicken salad
sandwiches, cake, potato chips,
mints, punch and coffee were serv-
ed.

san Zoch, Mrs. Melvin Frltsch and

Roy Maas, end on the La
Grange Leopard football team,
has been chosen as Lineman
of the Week in Central Texas
by George Breaxeale of The
Austin American’s sports staff.
Quoting Mr. Brtwzeale:

Pastor Hausmann is no

then was lifeguard and camp
program director during the
summers of 1958 and 1959.
Hausmann's favorite hobbies
are photography and imported
