day night with their father Mr. Bryan
Ryals of Duplex.
Mr. and Mrs. Luck Workman took
dinner with their uncle Mr. Richard
Pruitt and family of Bettis, Wednes-
day.
Mrs. Nathan Jones left Monday
for her home in California after a
few days visit with Mr. and Mrs.
Newt Jones.
Mrs. L. L. Janeway took dinner
with Mrs. Fred Young Monday.
Ellie and Earl Young Bill and
Grace Rowland, Lorene Odum, Eai’l
and Windall Bethel called on Kenneth
and J'ohephine Dudley, Sunday night
and played 42.
Geneva Ryals is spending the week
with Mrs. M F. Odum and helping
quilt.
Mr. and Mrs. Parks of Telephone
spent Monday night with their sister
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Janeway.
Mrs. Luther Phillips spent Satur-
day night with her parents Mr. and
Mr. Emerson who- live south of Bon-
ham.
This community regretted very
much on having to give up their good
preacher. Bro. Holder. He and family
are moving to California. Bro.
Holder preached at this place for over
three- years and his many friends
here hope he and his family will be
well pleased in their new home.
January 20, several ladies sur-
prised Mrs Orvil Lawson with a
shower. Those present were Mrs.
W. A. Hanks, Mrs. Bill Todd, Mrs.
David W'hisenhunt, Mrs. Leo Jane-
way, Mrs. P. A. Walker, Mrs. Luck
Workman, Mi’s. L. L. Janeway, Miss
Lois Todd, Mrs. Luther Todd and
Mrs. Fred Young. She received
several nice and useful presents.
S'ome sent presents who couldn’t at-
tend on account of the bad weather.

The Randolph basketball girls and
boys played Leonard boys and girls
Friday afternoon and came out win-
ners in both games.
Miss Gladys Cole and Miss Opal
Armstrong spent the week end with
home folks at Ector.
Mr. Ray Anderson from Kentucky
is spending a few days with relatives
Mr. and Mrs. Linsay Anderson.
We were very sorry to hear of the
death of Mrs. Jess Bodan. Those
who survive her are a mother, hus-
band and a small son. The entire
family has our sympathy.
Miss Sally Buchanan spent Friday
night with Miss Julia Anderson.
Those who called a while that night
were Miss Leona Buchanan, Fred
Winton, Wot and Edward Owenby.
Those on the sick list are Mr. Jim
Guess, Bill Deshane, Mrs. Ora Gray,
Miss Riosa Kirk, Mrs. Edd Johnson,
and “Popeye” Brookins.
Mr. Clifford Hall from Duncan,
Oklahoma arrived at Mr. E. A. And-
erson’s Monday morning at one
thirty. They came after Mrs. An-
derson, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hall’ and
Walter Hall, on account of the death
of Mr. Elmer Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Obie Stewman spent
part of last week with the latters
father Mr. and Mrs. Brookins.
Those who went to the party at
Klondike from Randolph were: Misses
Cassie and Opal Williams, Julia An-
derson, Ethyl Hopper, Ina Bell An-
derson, Sally Buchanan, Leona Buch-
anan, Jerry Buchanan, Mr. Glenn
Cobb, Melton Anderson, Junior Rich-
ardson, Ray Hopper, Bill Hopper,
Lenwood Anderson, Frank Anderson
and Bob Hopper.
Mrs. Tom Jones has been to Okla-
homa City as she received word of the
death of her uncle, Mr. Jim Stokes.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Moore and
family from South Leonard were in
our community, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Reynolds and
little son Larry Lane spent Sunday
with her parents, Mr. E. A. Anderson.
Mrs. Pritchett and daughter Docie
spent one day last week with Mrs.
Joines.
Mrs. Thurman Jones spent Friday
afternoon with Mrs. Milton Jones.
Mrs. Lennie Baker from Bonham
was in our community, Sunday.
Miss Campbell spent the week end
with her home folks at Sherman.
Mrs Florence A-bee from Burk-
burnett, Texas has been in our com-
munity for a few days. She was
planning on spending a week or two
but she received a telegram from
her husband for her to come home i
at once, that he was very sick. }
Some of you may know her as Miss
Florence Dobine.
Miss Campbell one of the teachers
in high school was absent Monday.
She started from her home in Sher-
man and something got wrong with
her car and she couldn’t possibly
make it until Tuesday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lipe have been
spending the past week with her -par-
ents Mr. and Mrs. George Edge.
Mr. and Mrs. Willis Collin and Mr.
and Mrs. T. J. Cockrill spent Monday
night in Denison at the bedside of
H. V. Ivie who is very ill.
Miss Geneva Ford visited- Mrs.
May Taylor, Tuesday morning. She
missed the school bus.
Mr. T. J. Cockrill spent Wednes-
day with his mother, Mrs. A. F. Cock-
rill.
Miss Minnie Fender spent Sunday
with Mrs. May Taylor.
Ray Parker visited his brother,
Frank Parker, Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Lambert are
the proud parents of a bouncing 11
pound boy since January 29th. Moth-
er and son are doing fine.

spent the night recently with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. iF. Cockrill. j

and Mrs. Sam Capehart visited with
